A message from Beatbox Scotland
Back once again for another year. This time in a music venue, thankfully. The last couple of years have been difficult in a lot of areas and that is why this year we are planning on bringing the best of the best, to celebrate the getting together, for the Scottish Beatbox Championships 2022 @ McChuills, Glasgow. 24.SEP.22
Bringing you the best vocal percussionists in Scotland, they will battle it for the title. The reigning champion is Undefined (Edinburgh) and if he wins that makes him 3X In a row champion. Could you stop him?
We would happy for anyone to send a demo in 1-2 minute clip of you beatboxing to:
beatboxscotland@gmail.com
HOSTING -
Hosting the event is Bigg Taj, the Hip Hop specialist. He has a wide range of cover songs, loads of musicality in his beats and astounding sound effects (Sitar, Siren, and Turntable Scratches + More). Bigg Taj has been known recently for his acting in the BBC TV Series 'The Scotts', and airing on radio channels for BBC Asian Network.
Bigg Taj is a highly competitive individual, competing regularly in the UK Beatbox Championships, reaching the top 4 on a couple of occasions. He also featured on the SING:Ultimate A Cappella show, hosted by Cat Deeley on SKY one, back in 2017.
His show is not to be missed.

And lastly, we would like to thank everyone who is involved in ensuring the past events were a success. Thanks to Music Broth, Nice n Sleazy, McChuills, Carlton Studios, Positive Electronics, You Call That Radio, The Hemp Trading Company and Scottish Refugee Council.
Thanks for offering sponsorship packages, providing lights, beatbox workshops, performing opportunities and more importantly enabling learning new skills, and building positive relationships in the process, with the power of the music and sound. Made with the mouth.
The collective support from all of the above groups makes up half of what the Scottish Beatbox Championships is now... and what is to be, this year.
The other half comes from the audience. If you have ever experienced McChuills, you will know it is a compact space, and good sound. With the darkness of the room, mixed with the light effects and the body heat from everyone rubbing shoulder to shoulder, fighting to get to the front (we hope)... it should be a wonderful atmosphere.
Ticket price is £5 and you can get your tickets here...

We hope to see all of you there (a venue capacity size worth - 120). if you know anyone who can beatbox, put their name forward and send a demo to beatboxscotland@gmail.com
We take voice recording (soundcloud) or video (youtube). Make sure that you can clearly hear you beatbox. Go somewhere quiet.
Just a heads up, it is an over 18 venue... ID is a must have.
